These are everything from electric bass, guitar, drums, synthesizers, and software instruments like Garage Band. These instruments function effectively like their acoustic brothers, but with some extra features and functionality. Understanding these instruments can make you an irreplaceable part of any group.
Folk Instruments
Folk Instruments are generally instruments made by the indigenous peoples of a country. In the U.S. these generally include things like acoustic guitars, banjos, basses, drum kits, mandolins, ukuleles, and fiddle.
Where I'm from there is a folk instrument that is very interesting called a "charengo". It's similar to a mandolin if a mandolin was inside out!
Folk music varies greatly from place to place so if there's somewhere you love, lets learn to play their
music together!
